PROBLEMS: The 1970s style and colors needed major remodeling. The toilet shared a room with the whirlpool tub. The one-person shower was small, and the lavatory area was dismal.
CREATIVE SOLUTIONS: The updated theme was inspired by beach sand, the sea and the sky. The shower was moved into the room with the tub, creating a luxurious spa with custom limestone tiles shaped and polished to resemble sand dunes, enclosed by a custom sandblasted door. The walls are glazed to resemble an under-sea experience, complete with a dolphin. The toilet is now in a separate room. There’s a custom lavatory “island” with pullout pantries and limestone bowls suspended from the countertop. The backsplash repeats the sand dunes in the wet room.
TESTIMONIAL: Diane and I spent two weeks shopping for all of the products for our new home before I went back to Germany. She made it possible to work with my husband and me over long distance. Her communication skills and attention to all of the details helped us achieve the unique transformation we wanted in every room of our new home. She worked with the contractor to make everything ready for us, with no problems.
