Vancouver Bathroom from Entry Redesign Before and After

PROBLEMS: The 1980s master bathroom in Vancouver looked like the home had been inherited from an elderly aunt, not built for the professional couple only 20 years ago.  They were tired of the wallpaper, the mauve color scheme, the carpeting, and tile countertops. They wanted to update the bathroom while keeping the traditional appearance and feel.

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS: The vanity was redesigned for better storage, enhanced by custom mirror frames and a custom medicine cabinet. The original carpet was replaced by porcelain tile flooring with radiant heating. What makes this bathroom special is the custom tile installation that includes glass tiles inset at regular intervals in the backsplash that flows from the lavatory countertop down to the tub deck and up to the vanity. The same glass tiles were used to frame the custom shampoo niche. A “waterfall” edge was incorporated into the engineered countertops and tub deck.

TESTIMONIAL: We are pleased and amazed at Diane’s ability to hear what we wanted to create in our kitchen and master bath. Our kitchen remodel was a challenge, to say the least. After working with several other designers and trying to draw plans ourselves, the designs kept coming up short of what we wanted. When we worked with Diane, not only did she come up with a design that fits our needs and wants, but also gave us many new features that we will enjoy for years to come. We are so happy with our results and highly recommend Diane Plesset for your designing needs.
