PROBLEMS: The Tigard master bathroom showed its age. Storage was minimal. The rarely-used whirlpool tub wasted a lot of space. Small-print wallpaper and oak cabinets with tile countertops yelled “Remodel me!”

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS: The tub was replaced by a two-person tiled shower with a custom lit display niche. A larger lavatory area was created and has three wall cabinets for personal storage. Two base pantries also provide storage for personal-care products and tools. The toilet room has a linen closet that replaced the one-person shower. The remodeled bathroom has custom two-tone alder cabinets with 300% more storage, a Noce travertine countertop, improved lighting and ventilation. A decorative feature stripe enhances the shower, the backsplash, and the heated flooring. The walls are Venetian plaster with a metallic bronze finish. The ho-hum 1970s master bathroom is now a delightful sanctuary for the homeowners.

National Gold Award for Tigard master bathroomThis bathroom earned a national gold award for design excellence.

TESTIMONIAL:My husband and I first discovered D. P. Design at a home remodeling show. After our first meeting, I reviewed Diane’s work and I hired her to help us redesign three bathrooms. Six months later, I had the most beautiful and functional bathrooms imaginable, with minimal disruption in our life. Two of the bathrooms won remodeling awards. l referred D. P. Design to three of my colleagues for their projects. For me and my colleagues, very complex problems were solved to our amazement and complete satisfaction. The results were absolutely stunning and extremely functional.
