Contemporary Japanese-Style Master Bathroom

The contemporary Japanese-style master bathroom has a large lavatory with custom cabinets providing more (and better) storage than the original 1970s bathroom.

Space was borrowed from the adjacent guest bathroom to create a larger shower with grab bars, a corner bench, shampoo niche, and multiple showerheads. The tile has a unique inset vertical pattern that is continued on the floor. The colors chosen blend with 1970’s “earth tones” and contemporary Japanese design.
